State agency recognizes Inpro for superior environmental and sustainability performance

MILWAUKEE, August 11, 2020  ̶  Inpro Corporation has signed a new contract with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to elevate the company to Tier 2 status in the agency’s Green Tier program.  The new contract follows a solid six years of performance at the Tier 1 level.

The Green Tier program is a recognition and partnership program between Wisconsin businesses, trade associations, communities and non-profits, and the Department of Natural Resources. Green Tier is designed to encourage innovation, collaboration and new environmental goal setting.

Green Tier 2 is targeted at companies with an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) and a history of superior environmental performance. Tier 2 participants represent truly exceptional companies that are not only committed to going above and beyond, but are also committed to bringing about change in their industry, region, or within their supply chain.

“Our move to Tier 2 really started in the summer of 2019,” said Marc Holland, Inpro’s president. “We were meeting with Green Tier staff, and they pointed out we were already performing at the Tier 2 level.  So we started the work to execute a new contract with the DNR to formalize our Tier 2 status, which was wrapped up during the last week of July.”

Holland went on to say Inpro has been continually improving it sustainable focus and performance.

“Over the past 20 years, Inpro has continued pushing the envelope with sustainability and product development,” Holland said. “Our EMS team in concert with manufacturing and supply chain management continually look for new ways to reduce waste and work closely with our suppliers to find the best materials for manufacturing efficiently.”
