Fire: Unprotected architectural expansion joints act as pathways for toxic fumes and deadly flames to spread throughout your building. Installing architectural fire barrier systems compartmentalizes the fire, giving people more time to escape.

Water: One of the biggest obstacles with traditional fire barriers is that they can never get wet as water renders them ineffective. Many times, fire blankets will arrive to the job site before they are ready to be installed, exposing them to the elements. With that type of exposure the barrier will have to be replaced because once it gets wet, it is destroyed...unless you’re using our Water Guard® Fire Barrier.

Seismic: Earthquakes and other seismic events cause movement and swaying for an architectural structure. Our Fireline Fire Barriers are cycle tested to ensure their able to move with your building during a seismic event without losing their ability to preform.

Thermal: Changes in temperature cause buildings to expand and contract which can leave you with disfigured or broken flooring components which could result in damage to your building structure and design. Traditional fire barriers aren't always able to keep up with the daily expansions and contractions of your building, causing them to tear, pull away from the sides or sometimes even fall down through the joint.

Windsway: Tall buildings and structures with a large surface area are affected by wind sway that pushes against the building and causes tilt or swaying motions. Flexibility is an important feature of our Fireline Fire Barriers which are designed to conform to building movement without losing their protection capabilities.
