In the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is committed to providing critical care for its youngest patients. To meet growing healthcare demands, the PICU
underwent a 28,000-square-foot renovation and expansion on the fourth floor of its main campus, including 20 patient rooms and supportive spaces like a Family Support Lounge, Provider Workrooms, and a Child
Playroom. Inpro partnered with the medical center to deliver privacy and durabilityfocused interior solutions.
Inpro’s products played a vital role in transforming the PICU into a modern, resilient care environment. Shield by Panaz® cubicle curtains and Optitrac® cubicle tracks were strategically installed in all patient rooms to ensure enhanced privacy and seamless staff operations. Palladium® rigid sheet and wall guards were applied to walls in high-traffic areas such as hallways and shared staff rooms, providing a durable and aesthetic finish. Additionally, corner guards were integrated into vulnerable spots like doorways and room corners, offering vital protection against daily wear and tear. These features combined to create a welcoming, functional space that balances safety with design elegance— supporting exceptional care for children and their families.
