The Project
Located on a hillside overlooking the Potomac River, MGM National Harbor is a new entertainment destination and the first luxury gaming resort in the Capital Region. The $1.4 billion, 1.7 million sq. ft. entertainment complex includes a hotel, casino, restaurants, shopping, theater, spa, parking garage and meeting & convention center.
Inpro's Involvement
The Inpro scope was for interior expansion joints only. Fireline 520 Water Guard® fire blankets with optional drain and end dam accessories were selected as a forward thinking measure to prevent damage to the extensive quantities of fire barrier on the job and to also route any water away as to not trap the water, as many joint locations went through work rooms, kitchens, and other spaces that potentially could be wet.
The types of cover systems needed for the job varied greatly, and JointMaster had solutions for each unique space requirement. Hidden covers with limited sightline, no-bump floor covers, and low visual impact covers were utilized in high profile areas of the project along with added stainless steel finishes.
