The Project

A $10 million, 60,000 sf expansion of the Ronald McDonald House in Wauwatosa doubled the size of the facility that hosts families with sick children at Milwaukee-area hospitals. The extensive remodeling expanded common facilities, including a music therapy room, a fitness center, study rooms and new kitchens. The project took 18 months to complete and nearly doubled the family residence space to 70 suites from the previous 38. A new pedestrian bridge links the House to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The Ronald McDonald House was built in 1984, and has housed 34,000 families over the years.
