The Project
Wildcat Coal Lodge is the dorm for the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team. The lodge, which is near Memorial Coliseum, is 20,000 square feet and houses 32 student athletes.
The Lodge doesn’t just honor the coal industry in name only. According to the agreement between the donors who gave the money for the Lodge — many of them coal operatives — and the University of Kentucky, the lobby of the dorm for the UK men’s basketball team is a tribute exhibit to the coal industry.
