A new 188,000 square foot building housing the School of Law.
The new 188,000 sq. ft USC School of Law features the largest library in the state of South Carolina. The multi-story law library overlooks a broad courtyard, and the limestone façade incorporates elements inspired by noted South Carolina architect Robert Mills, designer of the Washington Monument. Fostering an environment that is conducive to learning while also protecting the building was an important construction detail in the designing and installation of architectural products for this project.
Architect: Boudreaux Group, Columbia, SC in collaboration with SmithGroup JJR, Washington, DC.
Contractor: Gilbane Building Co.
